The Problem
When you click Extensions → SheetXAI in Google Sheets, you may only see "Help" in the menu, with other options like "Open Chat", "Settings", or "Activate SAI Formula" missing.
Why This Happens
SheetXAI needs a moment to initialize and load all menu items. This is especially common when:
- First opening a spreadsheet
- After refreshing the page
- When the add-on is still initializing in the background
How to Fix It
Step 1: Wait for Menu Items to Load
- Click Extensions → SheetXAI in Google Sheets
- If you only see "Help" (and no other menu items)
- Wait 5-10 seconds - the menu items are still loading
- Click Extensions → SheetXAI again - you should now see all menu options
Step 2: If Menu Items Still Don't Appear
If waiting doesn't resolve the issue, try these steps:
- Refresh the page (F5 or Cmd+R / Ctrl+R)
- Close and reopen the spreadsheet
- Try reauthorizing SheetXAI - see our Reauthorization Guide
Quick Checklist
- Waited 5-10 seconds after clicking Extensions → SheetXAI
- Clicked Extensions → SheetXAI again after waiting
- Refreshed the browser page
- Closed and reopened the spreadsheet
