Upscaling Tab Settings in SheetXAI

Overview

The Upscaling tab in SheetXAI settings configures the AI model used for image upscaling and enhancement within SAI formulas in your spreadsheet. This allows you to enhance image quality and resolution directly from your spreadsheet by processing image URLs.

Choose your preferred image upscaling provider from available options to enable high-quality image enhancement capabilities.

Note: By default, #SAI and @SAI are the command formats added to your spreadsheet. You can still use whichever format you prefer (e.g. SAI, sai, #sai). To use SAI without the # prefix, add it via Formula Builder > SAI Call Format Settings.

Writing Image Upscaling Commands

Start any command with #sai !UPSCALING followed by only the image URL, and use # to reference cells containing image URLs. To run upscaling across all rows at once, add !ARRAY after #SAI (e.g. #sai !ARRAY !UPSCALING #A). SheetXAI automatically converts them to proper formulas every 5 seconds when the chat panel is open.

Important: No Prompts Required

Use only the !UPSCALING prefix followed by the image URL
Do not add descriptive text, prompts, or instructions
The system automatically processes the image for quality enhancement
Simple format: !UPSCALING + image URL = enhanced image

Cell References

Single cell: #A1 (specific cell; cannot be dragged down)
Current row: #A (current row in column A; best for dragging down or !ARRAY bulk runs)
Cell range: #A-D (columns A to D in current row)
Multiple columns: #A,B,C or #A-C,F

Tip: If you plan to drag your formula down to other rows, use column references like #A instead of specific cells like #A1. For multi-row runs, add !ARRAY after #SAI to run automatically across all rows (e.g. #sai !ARRAY !UPSCALING #A).

How It Works

Put image URLs in your spreadsheet cells
Write your #SAI upscaling command in any cell using !UPSCALING
Keep the SheetXAI chat panel open
Your command automatically converts to a proper #SAI formula every 5 seconds
The formula processes and generates an enhanced, higher-resolution image
Download the enhanced image file from your spreadsheet cell

Batch processing multiple images:

Option 1 – Drag down: Put #sai !UPSCALING #A in a cell and drag the formula down to process each row.
Option 2 – Run on all rows with !ARRAY (recommended): Use !ARRAY once and SheetXAI runs upscaling for every row automatically:

Notes

Commands are case insensitive (#sai, #SAI, #Sai all work)
When using batch processing, !ARRAY must come first: #sai !ARRAY !UPSCALING #A (not #sai !UPSCALING !ARRAY #A)
Always use the !UPSCALING prefix for image enhancement
Each formula processes one image and returns one enhanced version
Maintains original image proportions while improving quality
