SheetXAI Troubleshooting Guide: First-Use Issues

Common Issues

When using SheetXAI for the first time, you may encounter one of these three issues:

1. Bad Request Error: You receive a "bad request" message when attempting to download the app.
2. Account Switching Issues: The app keeps switching between accounts, repeatedly asking for permissions across multiple accounts.
3. Endless Loading Screen: The initial "creating chat interface" screen remains stuck in a loading state.

Why These Issues Occur

These problems stem from a long-standing Google glitch related to multiple account management. Google has difficulty handling add-ons when multiple accounts are signed into one workspace. The system typically tries to use your "main account" (the account that appears first when you visit mail.google.com) for add-ons, which causes conflicts when you're trying to use SheetXAI with a different account.

Three Ways to Resolve These Issues

Option 1: Create Multiple Chrome Profiles (Recommended)

This is the most effective solution:

• Set up a separate Chrome profile dedicated to the Google account you want to use with SheetXAI
• Keep your accounts separated by profile to prevent Google's account management glitches

Option 2: Reorder Your Google Accounts

1. Visit mail.google.com to identify which account is currently set as your primary account
2. If the account you want to use with SheetXAI is not your primary account:
   • Sign out of all Google accounts
   • Sign back in, starting with the account you want to use with SheetXAI
   • Note: Google websites may take some time to adapt to your new account order

Option 3: Use Incognito Mode (Least Convenient)

• Open an incognito window and sign in with only the account you want to use with SheetXAI
• This requires signing in each time but eliminates account conflicts

Additional Tip for Multiple Account Users

If you regularly work with multiple Google accounts and want to use SheetXAI with your main account, consider sharing your Google Sheets to your main account (the one with SheetXAI installed). This allows you to edit documents easily while avoiding account-switching issues.
