Default Tab Settings in SheetXAI

Overview

The Default tab in SheetXAI settings configures the AI model that powers the SheetXAI chatbot in the sidebar. This is the primary model that responds when you interact with the SheetXAI assistant interface.

Purpose

This setting determines which AI model will process and respond to your queries when using the SheetXAI sidebar chat interface. The model you select here will handle all general spreadsheet operations, data analysis requests, and other conversational interactions within the chatbot.

Recommended Model

We highly recommend using OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini for this setting. This model offers an excellent balance of:

• Strong performance for spreadsheet tasks
• Fast response times
• Cost efficiency
• Reliable results across various use cases

When This Model Is Used

The AI model selected in the Default tab is used whenever you:

• Type a question or instruction in the SheetXAI sidebar
• Ask for sheet-wide operations (like data cleaning or analysis)
• Request formatting help, formula generation, or general assistance
• Use any chatbot feature that doesn't specifically use another configured model

How to Configure

1. Navigate to the Settings section in the SheetXAI sidebar
2. Select the Default tab (this should be the first tab shown)
3. Choose your preferred AI provider from the dropdown menu
4. Select the specific model you want to use (GPT-4o-mini recommended)
5. If required, ensure your API key is properly configured for the selected provider
6. Click Save to apply your changes
