Overview
SheetXAI's Late integration allows you to post to 13+ social media platforms directly from your spreadsheet. Create posts, schedule them for specific dates and times, bulk post from multiple rows, and import your posting history — all through simple chat commands. Late acts as the bridge between your spreadsheet and all your social media accounts.
Platform Availability: Late integration works in both Google Sheets and Excel versions of SheetXAI.
Supported Social Media Platforms
Late supports posting to 13+ platforms, including:
- Twitter / X
- TikTok
- YouTube
- And more
You connect your social media accounts through Late, and SheetXAI posts to them via Late's API.
Before You Start: Late Setup
Step 1: Set Up Your Late Account
Before using the Late integration in SheetXAI, you need a Late account with connected social media profiles:
- Sign up at Late — Create an account at late.so
- Connect your social media accounts — In Late's dashboard, connect all the social media platforms you want to post to
- Get your API key — Find your API key in your Late account settings
Step 2: Configure Late in SheetXAI
Open SheetXAI Settings
- Click the Settings button in the SheetXAI sidebar
- Navigate to the Social Media section
Enter Your Late Details
- Late API Key: Your API key from Late
Important: Make sure your social media accounts are already connected within Late before trying to post from SheetXAI. SheetXAI posts through Late, so accounts must be connected there first.
How Late Integration Works
SheetXAI reads your spreadsheet data and sends it to Late for posting. Each row can become a separate social media post. You can specify which platforms to post to, when to schedule posts, and attach media — all from your spreadsheet data or chat commands.
Getting Started
Step 1: Prepare Your Content
Organize your social media content in a spreadsheet:
Recommended Columns:
- Content — The text of your social media post
- Platforms — Which platforms to post to (e.g., "twitter, linkedin")
- Media — URLs to images or videos to attach
- Scheduled For — Date and time for scheduled posts (e.g., "2026-03-01 10:00 AM EST")
Step 2: Post to Social Media
Important: Before making your request, click the + icon next to "current sheet" and select Late (if not already added).
Use natural language to specify your posting preferences:
Example Requests:
- "Post this to Twitter and LinkedIn"
- "Schedule these posts for tomorrow at 9am"
- "Bulk post these rows to Instagram"
- "Post this with the image in column B to all my connected platforms"
Creating Posts
Single Post
Post a single piece of content to one or more platforms:
Example:
| Content | Platforms |
|---|---|
| Check out our latest blog post on AI productivity tips! | twitter, linkedin |
Request: "Post this to Twitter and LinkedIn"
Bulk Posting
Post multiple rows of content at once:
Example:
| Content | Platforms | Media |
|---|---|---|
| Excited to announce our new feature! | twitter,linkedin,instagram | https://image1.jpg |
| Behind the scenes of our latest update | instagram,tiktok | https://image2.jpg |
| Tips for better spreadsheet workflows | twitter,linkedin |
Request: "Post all these rows to social media"
Result: Each row is posted to its specified platforms. Rows with errors get clear error messages without stopping the rest.
Smart Defaults and Skip Logic
When bulk posting, SheetXAI uses smart defaults:
- Missing platforms: Uses your default connected platforms
- Empty rows: Automatically skipped
- Incomplete rows: Rows missing required content are skipped with a note
Scheduling Posts
Schedule for a Specific Time
Schedule posts for future publishing with timezone support:
Example:
| Content | Platforms | Scheduled For |
|---|---|---|
| Morning motivation for your Monday! | twitter,linkedin | 2026-03-03 9:00 AM EST |
| Mid-week productivity tips | twitter,instagram | 2026-03-05 12:00 PM EST |
| Friday roundup of the week's best content | twitter,linkedin,instagram | 2026-03-07 5:00 PM EST |
Request: "Schedule these posts using the dates in column C"
Scheduling Tips
- Include timezone: Always specify your timezone (EST, PST, UTC, etc.) to ensure posts go out at the right time
- Future dates only: Scheduled times must be in the future
- Bulk scheduling: Schedule a week's or month's worth of content from one spreadsheet
Attaching Media
Images and Videos
Attach media to your social media posts by including URLs in your spreadsheet:
Example:
| Content | Media | Platforms |
|---|---|---|
| Our new product is here! | https://example.com/product-photo.jpg | instagram,twitter |
Request: "Post these rows with the images in column B"
Media Tips
- Use direct image/video URLs (not sharing links)
- Check platform-specific requirements (Instagram requires images, some platforms have size limits)
- Ensure media URLs are publicly accessible
Importing Post History
Import All Posts from Late
Pull your existing post history from Late into a spreadsheet for review and analysis:

Best Practices
Content Preparation
- Platform-specific content: Tailor your message length and style for each platform (Twitter is short, LinkedIn can be longer)
- Test with one post: Try a single post first before bulk posting
- Review before bulk posting: Double-check your spreadsheet — posts can't be recalled once published
- Use skip logic: Leave rows empty or incomplete if you want them skipped during bulk operations
Scheduling
- Always include timezone: Prevent posts from going out at the wrong time
- Schedule in advance: Batch your content creation and schedule a week or month ahead
- Stagger posting times: Don't post to all platforms at the same time
Media
- Use direct URLs: Ensure image and video URLs point directly to the file
- Check platform requirements: Each platform has different media size and format requirements
- Test media first: Verify images display correctly before bulk posting
